ANNOUNCE: Changing to groovewindow.com soon
Greetings! Over the years, this site has morphed into mainly a music and piano related posts, so I’ve decided to move things to a more appropriate name:
I currently only have a placeholder there, but will be moving this site to that domain this coming weekend. If you have bookmarks to the site, be ready to update them, although I’ll be adding redirects such that you should be automatically redirected to the corresponding page on the new site when you try to visit here. If I do things correctly, nobody should need to create new accounts. Everything should simply move. Here’s hopin’ (crosses fingers).
I just didn’t want you to be surprised by the change :)
I hope to get the switch done this weekend (July 3/4) when I’m not grilling or watching fireworks…

Hi Jonathon.
Cool looking new logo! The site name sure make more sense now. How far away do you think you are from posting funk groove #4? Ever since the “things are about to get crazy!”-post, back in October, I’ve visit this site daily (seriously!) to check for new material. The wait is getting painful! How about a little video teaser on what to expect? Don’t get me wrong, I know you’re doing all this on your free time. Please, take my impatience as a compliment!
BTW amazing rendition of Tune 88.

Funk groove #4 (it’s in Bb) is *very* close. I just got done spending an hour going through the finished sheet music with a fine-toothed comb, making sure it’s as correct as it can be. The backing tracks are all done, and I think they’re sounding pretty good. The tune is, at the moment, probably my favorite. It’s quite different from the others — hard to explain, you’ll just have to hear it.
Part of the reason its been taking so long, is I’m trying to get my setup repeatable, so that once #4 comes out the others I have in the wings can come very shortly after — and I’ve pretty much got all of that worked out.
I’ll be traveling at the very end of July for two weeks, and I’m going to try my hardest to have the whole series done and posted before I leave.
So — my goal is to have it up the week of July 26-30. Cross your fingers :)

I caught some of your videos on Youtube. You do a great job demonstrating and explaining precisely what I am trying to get my fat fingers around.
And Now I have found this site.
A big thank you from England for all your contributions to sharing music with we lesser piano-playing mortals.
Now I’m off to try and learn some of these licks!
