Yeah, after looking at it for a while, I agree with @Schmurz -- Too hard to read when its all dark. This one isn't as flashy, but it's a lot easier to see.

It's cool that you have transcribbed this groove, i've used so much energy to capture every notes you made, that i didn't finish and don't have time to redo this... So by waiting a real transcribbed sheet, i've made some inventions of mine, some tricks that are note orignally provided by you =)

I didn't know these techniques before i learned this groove so thanks again to you =)

The funk groove in F is much easier to do =)

@bananahands - Agreed! Hopefully, that's exactly what I'm working on. For example, when I did the very first original funk groove for Expert Village (the one in C), it was little more than an improv combining a few techniques from the other videos. The current (poor) notation that I've got up there now for that video is simply a quick stab at writing down some of the techniques. Far from sufficient and it also has many mistakes and omissions.

I have now fully and accurately transcribed that funk groove with every lick, every little turn, etc. The new videos show every note in several ways -- one of which is not dependant on notation -- it simply shows the keys played (not at full speed) so that people who don't read standard notation can learn too. In addition, the MIDI files will be a big part of all new series as many people use the MIDI files for practicing. With this, you could essentially loop any part of the tune at any speed and practice to your heart's content.

The other change planned is to make it much easier for people to offer suggestions. An example of this -- I've had requests for all kinds of new series: Jazz Voicings, Left Hand stuff (bass-lines and the like), Hand-independence, Boogie-Woogie to go with the blues lickes, Electronic styles, etc.. I'd like to get these into a public list and allow people to vote them up or down. The most-requested topics will be the ones that get made first.

The only drawback -- these things do take time to put together, and I have a real job and a family too :) I'm actively working, and making progress, but it will be a bit longer before the first new material begins to show up.

jonathan, v. appreciative of the time you take with this stuff. but im finding what i really want to play is the stuff you play but you don't notate and don't describe, and don't play slowly or clearly enough to pick up on. it's driving me nuts - its the twiddles, with enough time and detail to show how it knits together. to practice it up to speed you need a whole section that you can repeat, and you don't show how that is done.
